Elaine Hope Savage, 85, of Parkertown, NJ passed away on Monday November 27th, 2023.

Elaine was born in the Bronx, NY in 1938. The family moved to South Amboy, NJ when she was three and was raised there. Elaine lived in the Amboys for many years before spending 12 years living in Cranbury, NJ, then finally settling down in a log house she built with her own hands in Parkertown in 1986.
Elaine graduated from Hoffman High School in 1955 and continued her education, obtaining her undergrad degree at (then) Newark State Teachers College (now Kean University) in 1959 and followed-up with a master’s degree from Rutgers University.
She worked as a teacher for many years at the Jamesburg, Sayreville and Little Egg Harbor Township school districts. She then went on to work for the Ocean County Library in Toms River, NJ. Elaine wa
